Welcome Letter from the Executive Director

Welcome to the Randolph County Developmental Disability Services (RCDDS) website!! I hope this website provides you with valuable, useful information to explain what we do, and how we can help you.

RCDDS contracts with Missouri’s Department of Mental Health to provide local targeted case management to individuals with developmental disabilities.  We provide this case management in Randolph, Chariton and Carroll Counties, with some specific work in Boone and Nodaway counties.

RCDDS also allocates financial resources to Randolph County entities who support individuals with developmental disabilities, as well as provides funding for specific needs of individuals. Financial resources are made possible through a Randolph County tax levy called Senate Bill 40, which was passed by Randolph County voters in November 2010. Since 2010, RCDDS has worked to continuously improve how we make supports accessible to people with developmental disabilities in our county, where there was once little to no local resources.

These funds have made a tremendous impact in helping people with developmental disabilities have a place to work, as well as support them to live in the community more independently or have other supports to live their best life.

At RCDDS, we do our best to keep up with the changing world around us-people change, life circumstances change and daily life in general just changes all the time! RCDDS takes pride in the fact that, through all change, our agency serves as a support system for individuals and their families at a local level.

I am excited for what the future holds for RCDDS, and the individuals and families we support.  Please feel free to contact us as we would love to hear from you!

Best Regards,

Julie Dougherty, RCDDS Executive Director
